healthcare summit & awards 2017 was organized in Mumbai at Hotel Sahara
Star on 22nd December organized by Network 7 Media Group’s most
prestigious title 10th Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Summit & Pharmaleaders
Business Leadership Awards 2017 with an aptly theme of Bullet Healthcare Express - The Healthcare Roundtable – “Fixing The
Healthcare Chaos & Transforming the healthcare delivery systems” attended
by more than 350 stalwarts from the industry, pharma companies, noted doctors,
social activists, diplomats. The Summit started with an opening address from
Satya Brahma, Chairman & Editor-In-Chief of Network 7 Media Group on the
roadmap of the indian healthcare industry & its prescriptions for the future.
Satya Brahma emphasized the need to have a universal healthcare insurance,
affordable & quality healthcare.
Satya lambasted the successive governments at the centre not being serious
enough to bring regulations & policies to make healthcare availiable to the
billion plus population. Satya emphasized that “administrators and bureaucrats — ably
helped by the justice system and the police — manage to turn even the simplest
task into a nightmare for ordinary Indians. And yes ironically, India’s babudom
is being rated among the worst in Asia.The poison is the nexus – The nexus of
the powerful persons at the helm & ironically the victims are we, the
people who voted them to power. We need to overhaul the existing systems,
either change internally, or bring out better alternatives or stay away”!
